The Further Education and Training Quality System (FETQS) was launched in 2019 to align policies and procedures within the FET sector. The primary role of FETQS is to develop and enhance a quality culture and environment within centres for staff, stakeholders and learners.

This includes building a strong foundation and structure of a quality system that integrates with all services and standards internal and external to LWETB and contributes to continuous improvement processes.

Ensuring quality assurance is critical to guiding and facilitating the delivery of our LWETB mission and vision statements to all stakeholders including ensuring that LWETB values are continually delivered and upheld.

FETQS is committed to continuously improving the quality of the learner journey by aligning services and provision to provide a relevant, meaningful, valid, and consistent experience. This includes ensuring fit-for-purpose assessment(s), whether through accreditation or non-accreditation.
